Shearing Consultants Limited (SCL) is a multidisciplinary consulting firm offering a wide range of project management and environmental services to individuals, developers, industry, Indigenous Nations, and governments in British Columbia. In 2024, SCL reduced the company size, and predominately focuses on work direct to provincial hydroelectric companies.
Collaboration, creativity, technological solutions, expert planning, and financial prudence are hallmarks of SCL projects. We offer project and construction management, environmental solutions and environmental monitoring.
SCL is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors to our office & work sites. SCL has a detailed health and safety program aligned with applicable federal, provincial and local safety and health regulations.
SCL holds a GoldStar clearance from WorkSafe BC, and has been COR and SAFE Certified (BC Forest Safety Council).

Here, SCL operates within the unceded traditional territories of the Ktunaxa, Lheidli T’enneh, Secwepemc, Sinixt and Syilx Indigenous Nations, for which we are forever grateful. SCL operates throughout British Columbia, that has been the home since time immemorial to many Indigenous Nations, described here. At SCL we strongly acknowledge our traditional hosts and honour the deep knowledge, important perspectives, strong history and future goals.
